UAV Testing Services

UAV Testing & Repair Capabilities

At Northwest UAV, we utilize engine run-in stations and dynos to qualify design elements; we'll help you achieve the propulsion system best suited for your application. Our advanced testing and analysis capabilities and ability to control the testing environment mean we can reduce flight risk significantly, saving you substantial time, money, and resources. Our software systems allow you to access and test your running engine from anywhere! Whether your engine is big or small, use our engine run room to test your engine. Our expertise will give you an advantage over your competition. As a Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO), NWUAV provides all UAV engine maintenance, testing, and repair levels.

Using National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW® software, we can capture real-time acoustics and data down to 1/24 octave from 20Hz to 20kHz. Our software systems allow you to access and test your running engine from anywhere. Whether your engine is big or small, or you want to run your tests in our facility or elsewhere, our team can assist with the testing and analysis you need for your unmanned project.

Northwest UAV uses a 1/24th Octave Real Time Analyzer to visualize and record sound energy in a controlled room. Data provided by this system helps determine how "loud" a system is and where the highest levels of noise exist in the frequency spectrum. Engineers can extrapolate the data to assess acoustical detectability per MIL-STD-1474D.

We utilize a suite of software to set up a flow problem, solve it, and extract the information needed to optimize your system. The software offers user-defined flow parameters to model and simulates the flow field accurately—investigative analysis, validating designs, optimization, and detailed information of the flow stream.

NWUAV MRO is your cost-effective engine maintenance alternative. We'll repair, overhaul, or even customize your engine to get it running efficiently and effectively for its next deployment. Why invest in new equipment when we can restore your engines to their original levels of performance and efficiency? Our expert team works with you to determine the most cost-effective service option for your budget and operational needs. And we understand that second only to quality, engine repair turn-time is the most critical factor in the overall cost of ownership of UAVs.

Our FAA Certified Flight, Analysis, and System Test (FAST) Range is part of the Pan-Pacific UAS Test Range Complex—the FAST Range is located close to our facility in McMinnville. Fly up to 5,000 feet within a five-nautical mile radius. Airfield operations management and air traffic control, with Part 107 Drone Airmen/Remote Pilots available.
